Fakenham Placepot picks: Dave Randall with his perm for the jumps fixture

The consistently awkward field sizes could make solving the Placepot at Fakenham a rewarding endeavour and the longer trip should suit Sainte Doctor in the opening novice handicap hurdle (1.52).

It is also worth including Well Educated, who is potentially well treated on his second handicap start for trainer John Quinn.

There are three places available in the next two contests. Lucky Lara is the main fancy in the novice handicap chase (2.22) and Treacys Jim is added with Bryony Frost riding for her father Jimmy.

Swinging London and Teddy Blue have the most ability going into the maiden hurdle(2.52), while the headgear combination and dropping back in trip should aid Zuckerberg in the handicap chase (3.22).

Three of the four runners are used to try and get through the staying handicap hurdle (3.52), namely the class horse Ballyandyand the proven stayers Kansas City Chief and Potters Hedger.

Midnight Mary, River Tyne and Avithos complete the perm in the seven-runner staying mares' handicap hurdle (4.25).
