1pt win at 6-1 generallyFrench recruits can sometimes take a while to acclimatise and that goes double when they take a heavy fall on their British debut, as Casse Tete first time up at Lingfield in January.

He didn't make much of a show when dropped back to 2m at Wincanton three weeks later, but was much better when third at Haydock last time, travelling smoothly through the race before being left behind by the front two.

He certainly moves like a horse with plenty of ability - and a ten-length win at Auteuil in October tells you he has some - and this could be the time to catch him, with trainer Gary Moore having an excellent 20 per cent strike-rate in Sandown chases over the last ten years.
