There is not much of the Flat turf season left, but still plenty of time for some exciting juveniles to hit the course.

With the emphasis increasingly on stamina in juvenile races at this stage, there are many horses hitting the track who will be better next year, and it can be worth watching race replays to spot some horses shaping with promise over inadequate trips.

Although Crystal Pegasus was a beaten favourite at Newcastle, the column still enjoyed another winner as Khalifa Sat won at Goodwood last week.
