Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, a strong partnership.

Trainer form

Tahreek
8.05 Chelmsford
Angle: Sir Michael Stoute has a 42 per cent strike-rate with his runners in the last two weeks

Sir Michael Stoute clearly has his runners in good form and Tahreek looks the most interesting of his three chances at Chelmsford this evening.

The four-year-old was largely progressive last season, winning two handicaps, and has been gelded since last seen. The step back to seven furlongs will hopefully not be an inconvenience and it is well known how proficient Stoute is with these late-maturing types.

Ratings

Nat Love
5.25 Chelmsford
Angle: Sets the clear standard of those with experience

Although the newcomers, particularly the Archie Watson-trained Above, may have a say, most of the runners with experience have not run to a high standard.

Nat Love did at least produce a Racing Post Rating of 60 on his debut, at this track, and the course experience could prove vital for Mick Channon's contender against a largely mundane field, while Scott McCullagh's 5lb claim is useful.

Wild card

Gentle Look
6.30 Chelmsford
Angle: Saeed Bin Suroor and Pat Cosgrave operate at a 75 per cent strike-rate when teaming up at Chelmsford.

The switch to front-running tactics has seen Gentle Look's handicap mark shoot up 11lb after wins at Redcar and Doncaster.

Bin Suroor and Cosgrave, who has partnered Gentle Look to both of his wins this season, do well when teaming up at the Essex course, winning 75 per cent of the time.
