Well-treated sort may thrive again back in familiar surroundings

Hereford hosts two Class 3 contests and it’s worth taking a chance on Pembroke House in the Henry Westons Vintage Cider Handicap Chase (4.15).

He is 3lb out of the handicap and isn’t the easiest to win with, but his only victory over fences came off a mark of 100 and he is capable of being competitive from this rating of 93.

Sarah-Jayne Davies’s gelding has put in several good efforts in cheekpieces this season and the sheepskin returns after he was tried in blinkers at Wetherby last time.
