Drop in trip could be what progressive-looking filly needs

1pt winThere is soft or heavy ground almost everywhere we look, but at least connections knew pretty much what to expect when the declarations were made, so hopefully there won't be loads of non-runners as there were on Saturday.

Conditions at Newbury probably won't be too testing, even with showers around, but it wouldn't bother me all that much if it was for the pair I'll be backing as I'm sure they'll be okay.

First up is Infanta Isabella, who drops in trip in the Comax Handicap (3.35). I like the angle of her coming back to a mile as the way she has travelled in her recent races over two furlongs further suggests that's just what she wants.
