It is 22 years since Tom Foley saddled the great Danoli to win the Morgiana Hurdle under Charlie Swan. As Willie Mullins bids to continue his recent monopoly of the Punchestown feature, Foley can put his name on the scoreboard at a more modest level with All About Alfie in a 2m handicap hurdle at Cork (2.00).

The eight-year-old, in the care of his owner Tom Donohue when winning this race last year, has returned to Foley who trained him during a previous spell which featured a Flat win at Gowran in 2014. He was having his first start since May when third at Clonmel last month and should be spot-on for his repeat bid.1pt win

Cork's Blackwater Handicap Hurdle (2.30) provides a first outing of the new campaign for Tony Martin's high-class handicap chaser Gallant Oscar who unseated his rider at the 18th in last season's Grand National. The race also sees a first Irish appearance for Kings Bandit, now with Gordon Elliott having been lightly campaigned over fences in Britain last season with Oliver Sherwood after winning three races as a novice hurdler for Donald McCain early in 2014.
