Backing horses in two-year-old handicaps is hardly the way forward, but this afternoon at Gowran Park a decent bet can emerge from the 7f nursery (3.35).

Cul An Ti has the best form on the track and Pat Smullen in the saddle is an obvious plus for the topweight as she bids to get her head in front for the first time off a mark of 72.

Rookie trainer Emmet Mullins deserves a change of luck, too, as last week at Punchestown St Stephens Green travelled particularly well in a handicap hurdle before taking a crashing fall.
