Joseph O’Brien supplied five of the nine runners in this maiden, three of them newcomers.

Most of the trainer’s runners showed something, and this colt by No Nay Never did best of the newcomers. He showed every level of greenness, from being a little troublesome at the stalls to walking out of them. Then, when switched to the inner early in the straight, he hung persistently while showing some signs of the penny beginning to drop late in the day.
