Maybe I'm wrong but don't you think the Gigginstown bust-up with Willie Mullins has added so much more intrigue to the early part of the jumps season in Ireland?

Henry de Bromhead has certainly been making the most of every opportunity offered to him and it would be foolish to underestimate his work with Valseur Lido in such a short space of time.

He might well have won just as easily had he still been trained by Willie Mullins, but De Bromhead managed to have him in tip-top shape for his reappearance. He travelled, jumped and quickened like an improving staying chaser and it is not hard envisaging him having a say in the Cheltenham Gold Cup next March, especially with so many question marks hanging over the leading contenders. The 16-1 is very fair indeed.
