Saturday’s Listed Beverley Bullet looks an absolute cracker and the one I like is FINAL VENTURE, who was outclassed though far from disgraced in the Nunthorpe last week.

He wasn’t beaten far from a bad draw when fourth in this race last year and his two runs in Listed company this season have yielded a Haydock win on unsuitably soft going and a narrow 14-1 second to Take Cover at York.

Three-year-olds have a fine record in the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown and it should pay to side with the Classic generation in Saturday’s renewal.
