Credit: Edward Whitaker

Newmarket: David Milnes

Tranquil Soul (2.15 Ffos Las, nap)

Unlucky not to have got her head in front by now, most recently when a head third to The Throstles at Wolverhampton just over two weeks ago. David Lanigan's filly is well drawn and won't mind the soft ground.Others to follow

Lambourn: James Burn

Battaash (3.35 York, nap)

Emerging star sprinter looks the real deal and should cope with the easier ground better than his big rival Lady Aurelia, while his killer turn of foot can prove a bigger weapon than her relentless speed.Others to follow

Goodwood 5.45 Kitaabaat, 6.15 Simply Breathless.
Newmarket 2.05 Vitamin, 2.40 Fastar, 3.15 Al Barg, 3.45 Drumochter, 4.55 Moorside, 5.25 Kodiline.

Racing Post Ratings: Simon Turner

Lady Aurelia (3.35 York)

Quality sprinter with speed to burn who has lit up Royal Ascot for the last two years. Faces a stern challenge on her York debut but fancied to pass the test with flying colours.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Kings Gift (4.50 York)

Below par at Goodwood last time but better judged on his creditable third over course and distance in July. Michael Dods' colt can end his lean spell.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Syphax (4.50 York)

Last year's Acomb Stakes winner has lost his way recently, but this is his easiest task for some time and could bounce back in handicap company.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Big Ben (5.55 Kilbeggan)

Runner-up on both his starts over hurdles, the Joseph O'Brien-trained four-year-old was returning from a long absence when chasing home Aydoun at the Galway festival. That run, his first since he was gelded, should have brought him on and he gets the vote to score under Mark Walsh.
