Choumicha set for timely win at Leicester

There are four Flat meetings in Britain today and two of them feature a two-year-old race that has been divided. Due to various factors including the virus, the ground or just plain slow development, there appears to be more unraced juveniles than ever in Newmarket right now and we can expect to see potential stars pop up anywhere from now through to Christmas.

Due to the delays, many trainers are heading to this week's Tattersalls October Yearling Sale in the unusual position of not quite knowing what they have on their hands for 2017, but at least it will add some interest to the all-weather circuit.

Other than vendors' hospitality, one thing trainers like having at sales times is lots of winners, especially well-bred ones. With that in mind, they do not come much more regally related than Choumicha, who is expected to score at the second time of asking in division one of the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes (2.20) at Leicester.
