Chester Placepot picks: Tom Segal has two bankers for his Sunday perm
At Chester's previous meeting, a low draw seemed to be a disadvantage with all the winners coming up the middle of the track so it will be interesting to see if normal service is resumed.
Kiss N Cuddle and Evolicatt are drawn on the outside in the Britvic Nursery (1.50), but they have solid form chances, as does Endeared in the following maiden (2.20).
The best race on the card is the Listed sprint (2.55) and the two to stick in any perm are the three-year-olds Ebro River and Manaccan. The latter ran really well on the slowest part of the track here last time, while Ebro River was a top-class juvenile and will relish any rain that falls.
Oneforthegutter has shown up well in some of the better three-year-old handicaps and has dropped another 3lb after finishing in midfield in the Britannia last time. He might well enjoy some give underfoot and has the in-form man William Buick on his back in the mile handicap (3.30).
Oneforthegutter might need some luck from stall two, though, so I would include Tollard Royal, who should appreciate dropping back to a mile.
Rogue Spirit is the form horse in the 6f conditions stakes (4.00) but Cold Case can improve past him. That only leaves the 1m4½f handicap (4.30) and it is worth including a couple.
The first is Zealandia, who impressed on his debut for Ian Williams and should have more to offer. The other to consider is The Nu Form Way, for whom Hollie Doyle is a significant booking.
