Chaser too well treated to ignore despite win record

1pt win at 11-2 generallyCaptain Buck's is 0-11 over fences, but he has become very well handicapped, goes well fresh, and his trainer Paul Nicholls could probably win with a three-legged donkey right now.

Joking aside, Captain Buck's has dropped from a mark of 127 at this time last year to just 118 now and, having finished a close third on his seasonal return in October, he is certainly still capable of running to his previous best if on song.

That run was when fresh and he has some other good efforts after a break, too, while the closest he has gone to winning a chase was on his sole run on this track almost exactly a year ago when he was beaten a neck off a mark of 125.
