1pt winThere're two competitive jumps cards at Carlisle and Wincanton, but it's probably best to tread warily with so many of the runners making seasonal returns.

The transition between Flat and jumps and vice versa is always a difficult one for punters, but probably more so when we head into a jumps campaign because horses who are undercooked are quite often not even asked to be competitive.

Chepstow's card on Saturday was full of horses who clearly needed the run, so there are risks attached, but I'd be surprised if Tim Vaughan is sending on a near 600-mile round trip to Carlisle just for a day out.
