Cattwilldo layers cash in with Bunce

There were burnt fingers for short-priced in-running backers in the 5f handicap at Ayr after more than £13,000 was matched at 1.01 on Betfair on well-supported runner-up Catwilldo. The 4-1 joint-favourite was caught by the strong-finishing 9-1 chance Bunce on the line. The winner, who had hit a high of 44, got there so late that he never touched the minimum and went no shorter than 1.04.

Norville landed a gamble in the 7f handicap after going off at 15-2 from an opening 11-1. That was the first of two big on course touches that were landed as Tadaany made no mistake in the following mile handicap, winning easily having gone off a heavily supported 4-1 favourite from an opening 11-2.

Honourable disappointed backers at a low of 1.35 when turned over in the opener as the 10-11 market leader. Whatsthemessage finished strongly to cause a 20-1 upset, having touched a high of 36.
