Carlisle Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the jumps fixture

I like the look of Carlisle for the Placepot and the match between Tommy's Oscar and Geromino in the opener (1.00) is a good opportunity for an upset. Put both in.

There are nine declared for the following 2m4f conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle (1.35) and the consistent Better Getalong should make the first three. Put him in as banker material.

Ten are declared for the 2m1f novice hurdle (2.10) and another three places should be on offer. That makes it an attractive race for a second banker and Iorens looks the most exciting.

Court Dreaming almost always runs well at Carlisle and is trusted in the 3m½f handicap chase (2.45), but the following 2m1f handicap hurdle (3.20) looks trickier. Iolani has run well on the Flat at this track and goes in, but it's also worth including the consistent Joie De Vivre.

If Not For Dylan is one of my best bets of the day and rates a banker in the 2m handicap chase (3.55), provided all eight line up.
