Carlisle Placepot picks: Tom Collins outlines his Sunday afternoon perm

A couple of 2m4f novice hurdles kickstart Carlisle's enticing card, which is sure to produce numerous subsequent winners. Placepot punters are advised to take a couple of risks early in order to stack up selections in the finale.

Division one (11.50) looks the stronger of the two heats and although Here Comes The Man warrants respect based on his point-to-point victory, preference is for Green Vault and Famous Bridge, who finished first and third respectively in a Punchestown bumper in March.

There's a lack of strength in depth in division two (12.20), which makes it banker territory. The selection is Phil De Pail, who will relish the step up in trip after a strong-staying effort over 2m when last seen.

Topweight Ballybegg and the unbeaten Dreams Of Home embark on their careers over fences in the 2m4f novice handicap chase (12.50) and should safely take you through to leg four.

There isn't much recent form on offer in the 2m1f handicap hurdle (1.25) but Honda Fifty, who has placed four times from seven starts, and the race-fit Universal Folly are chosen.

Espoir De Romay is the standout performer in the featured Colin Parker Memorial Chase (2.00) and can be relied upon.

The prolific Tommy's Oscar, Albert's Back, who always runs well fresh, and last-time-out winner Bass Rock provide a strong three-pronged attack in the closing 2m4f handicap hurdle (2.35).
