Carlisle Placepot picks: Richard Birch with his perm for the evening card

In the same race, topweight Innse Gall, beaten less than a length in the Cumberland Plate over course and distance in June, won’t be far away at the finish once again.

Vis A Vis and Wynford, who finished runner-up in the race last year, may be the pair to focus on in the 2m1f handicap (6.40).

Blazing Hot goes into the 5f handicap (7.15) on the back of an excellent first run for Rebecca Menzies when second to Sound Of Iona at Doncaster. He will prove hard to beat if building on that performance.

Liberation Point and Strongbowe are selected in the mile handicap (7.45).
