Captain has the Power to keep up Lynam's Naas dominance

There is a busy bank holiday Monday today at the start of a very busy week with no fewer than 11 meetings over the next seven days.

There is some good action on the Flat at Naas today and one of the more interesting contests is the KC Civil Enginnering Supporting Naas Hurling Handicap (3.25). Topweight Tribal Path may not take part after finishing a fine third in the valuable 7f handicap at Galway yesterday, but even if he does the one to beat looks to be Captain Power.

His trainer Eddie Lynam has been irrepressible at Naas this summer. This horse has not been responsible for improving that record, but he has only had two runs this season, the latter effort being a fine one in defeat when he ran on strongly to finish fifth in the Scurry Handicap at the Curragh, with today's rival Fast In The Wind behind him.
