The penny is still to drop with Harry Dunlop's talented three-year-old D'Niro although the application of a first-time hood offers hope that the son of Big Bad Bob will settle much better this afternoon, and in turn, be able to finish off his race to good effect on his first attempt over ten furlongs.

D'Niro boasts some strong maiden form from last year, finishing fifth on debut at Doncaster behind subsequent Group 3 Rose of Lancaster Stakes scorer Royal Artillery before winning at Kempton, defeating now 97-rated Imperial Aviator by two and three quarter lengths.
