Call me mad – many have – but a week after putting up Yorkhill I am now looking to another equine eccentric in Might Bite, who left a telling impression with Sunday's Sandown romp.

This horse appears to have everything. He has a huge engine, jumps for fun (bar two final-fence blunders at Kempton and Cheltenham) and has a potent turn of foot that , as a three-mile chaser, is a lethal weapon.
