This 11-year-old lost his form towards the end of last season, but showed more promise on his reappearance at Ludlow last month, despite finishing 25 lengths behind winner She's Late in fifth of the 11 runners.

Ballyegan blundered badly at the first, but was still bang in contention until they reached four out, where his lack of a recent run appeared to take its toll. He still kept on to finish in midfield and is entitled to improve significantly for that first run since April.
