Brighton Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway has a perm for the seaside venue

The ground should be quick at Brighton so finding horses who like fast going is key.

Mamillius loves top of the ground and must be included in the opening 6f handicap (2.10). Only two places are on offer, though, so maybe it’s worth putting Recall The Show in as well.

There isn’t much form to go on in the 7f maiden (2.40). Zain Nibras has plenty of experience and should go well following a good second at Ffos Las last time. He rates banker material.

Thunderoad and Summer Valley are the two form horses in the 1m2f apprentice handicap (3.15) and it will be a surprise if at least one doesn’t place. It’s worth including both.

Hooves Like Jagger has been in superb form recently and is the obvious choice in the 1m4f handicap (3.50). Miss Tiki is fitted with first-time cheekpieces and is the best alternative.

River Wharfe has some solid course form and should go well in the mile handicap (4.25), but it’s another race where only two places are on offer so put Yanifer in the perm as well.

Toronado Grey won well over a mile here last time and is a banker in the 7f handicap (5.00).
