Binge Drinker could prove to be a real tonic
Sub Lieutenant
Trainer Henry de Bromhead
Won, Down Royal, November 5
This commanding display improved the upwardly mobile chaser’s record to two wins from two starts since joining Henry de Bromhead. His jumping was really impressive and he seemed to relish the decent ground which bodes well for the spring, as should he maintain his progress he will be competing for major prizes at the big festivals this season.

Winningtry
Paul Nicholls
3rd, Aintree, November 5
A promising hurdles debut from this five-year-old, who was running for only the second time in his career having won a Wincanton bumper in April. He tanked through much of this race, trading at a low of 1.25 in-running on Betfair, and looked the most likely winner approaching the last before the lack of recent outing seemed to take its toll. He should improve with racing.

Petit Mouchoir
Henry de Bromhead
3rd, Down Royal, November 4

But for an untidy jump at the last, which cost him valuable momentum, he would have finished closer to winner Rashaan and second Apple’s Jade.
