Bastien to continue on from his pleasing run at Sandown

The Devils Drop could go to Towcester on Thursday for the novice hurdle. He ran a promising first race for us at Chepstow a couple of weeks ago, travelling very well before getting a bit tired. He should be suited by this stiffer track.

Bastien ran well in a conditional jockeys’ race at Sandown, staying on very encouragingly from the last. We’re hoping for a good run in the 2m5f handicap hurdle.

Criq Rock didn’t win as a hurdler, but I’m hoping for better from him over fences and he could go for the novice handicap chase at Taunton. He’s been a frustrating ‘nearly horse’ and could be very free over hurdles. I hope he’ll settle better now he’s gone chasing.
