The well-handicapped Oskar's Eva will be hard to beat with George Blackwell claiming 10lb in this handicap, but she returns to the track only four days after winning on her return from more than five months off at Uttoxeter and it is possible she could bounce now turned out so quickly.

With that in mind, it is worth having a speculative bet against her in the shape of Generous Jack, who improved for the step up to 2m4f when third at Uttoxeter last time and is open to further progress at the intermediate distance with a visor fitted for the first time.

Trainer Jim Best does well with his Plumpton runners and has saddled eight winners here in the last five seasons. With the exception of Uttoxeter, where he has also sent out eight winners, that is more than at any other jumps track in Britain in that time and the fact he brings Generous Jack back from a break here could be significant.
