Appleby: we've always thought Wuheida was more of a three-year-old type

Rhododendron has done well and I'd imagine she'll go straight to Newmarket. She's in good form. The rest of the fillies we've entered will probably run in some of the trials.

Charlie Appleby, trainer of Wuheida, Sobetsu, Fashion Theory and Grecian Light
Wuheida is our main hope. We've always thought she was more of a three-year-old type, and she's wintered well. We were delighted with what we saw when we took her to Huntingdon for a day away recently and the plan is to take her to the Craven meeting for a gallop before heading to the Guineas. Given her style of racing an end-to-end gallop would suit her best there, but we also see her as an Oaks type. Sobetsu, who has wintered in Dubai, disappointed on fast ground last time in the Fillies' Mile and it could be she wants softer ground. With that in mind we could take her to France for a trial. Fashion Theory and Grecian Light are unlikely runners.

John Gosden, trainer of Astronomy's Choice, Cashla Bay, Daban, Dabyah, Icespire and Shutter Speed
Astonomy's Choice has wintered well but looks more like a middle-distance filly in time so we'll probably go down that route. Cashla Bay and Daban are in good form. We'll probably head down the trial route with them before we think about the 1,000 Guineas. Our main hope is Dabyah, who has thickened out well over the winter. The plan is to start her off in the trial at Newbury, where Icespire may also head. Shutter Speed has a pedigree with mixed messages and it could be she's more a mile-and-a-quarter filly with something like the French Oaks a possibility down the line.
