Agony for Plead backers as Mouille Point hangs on

Mouille Point traded at 140 when it appeared Plead was going to collar her in the 1m2f handicap at Nottingham, but she had her head down when it mattered to just hold on. The runner-up was matched at 1.05.

The Ed Greatrex-ridden Zubaidah got off the mark at the 24th time of asking in the 1m3½f handicap at Yarmouth after trading at 85 in running on Betfair. Third home Hint Of Grey was matched at 1.53.

Bequia was backed down to 1.37 in the 5f maiden at Yarmouth but was soon in trouble and finished out of the places.
