Ballybawn Belter was picked up by JP McManus after winning a bumper at Leopardstown in March and showed enough ability on her hurdling debut to suggest she is up to winning the 2m4½f maiden hurdle.

Shock 300-1 winner Sawbuck got the better of the filly in a 22-runner Punchestown 2m½f maiden hurdle in May, but she was well clear of the remainder and a terrible mistake at the last cost her all momentum on the run-in.
