A lot of positives for promising Harrington debutante Nope

Jessica Harrington: outlines plans for her star juveniles
Jessica Harrington: looks to have another decent juvenile on her hands in the shape of NopeCredit: Caroline Norris

Trainer: Jessica Harrington
6th, 6f two-year-old fillies' maiden, Naas, June 26
By the end of Irish Derby week, Jessica Harrington might well have three of the best juvenile fillies in training in her care, and a fair few other two-year-olds that look capable of winning. This filly by No Nay Never would be very high on that list.

She was quite well backed on her debut in a Naas maiden that may well produce a few winners, but she was always going to be struggling after a slow start. She did make up some ground, but she also ran into some traffic difficulties, and when she was pulled out inside the last furlong she made up some good late ground.

She looks certain to come on a good deal for this experience, and the ability shown gives great hope that she can soon be winning a maiden before going on to better things.

This daughter of Palavicini showed some promise in a reasonable fillies maiden, and looks like one that might well improve given time and a probable step up in trip.
