Horses in training on offer in Goffs opener
Some 385 lots to go under the hammer over two days
The Goffs Open Yearling and Horses in Training Sale begins a two-day run on Wednesday at 2.30pm with 385 lots catalogued to go under the hammer.
The first session focuses on horses in training and eye-catching lots on offer including Jim Bolger’s Group 1 winner Loch Garman (lot 87), last year’s Group 3 Gladness Stakes winner Flight Risk (86) and Listed scorer Radanpour (95).
Thursday features a full day of yearlings starting at 10am with sires such as Acclamation, Dandy Man, Fastnet Rock, Lope De Vega, Raven’s Pass and Zoffany all represented.
Interesting lots in the yearling section include a Canford Cliffs colt from the family of Group 1 hero Desert King (171A) and a Captain Gerrard colt who is out of a half-sister to the Group 3-winning mare Beyond Desire (267A).
