Wildcard entries add spice to rescheduled Cheltenham Sale
Among them are three winners of four-year-old points in Ireland
Eleven wildcard entries have been added to the rescheduled Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham January Sale, which is to be staged at Cheltenham racecourse on Thursday at 1.30pm.
Among the most notable additions is bumper winner Planet Nine (Lot 31) who won on his debut at Thurles last Thursday. The Flemensfirth gelding is a brother to Noble Endeavor, winner of the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown.
Sending Love (25), a Scorpion gelding who was a five-length winner on his point-to-point debut in a four-year-old maiden at Kirkistown on Saturday. He will be offered by Warren Ewing's Bernice Stables.
Bitingthebullet (36) will be offered by Monbeg Stables. The Goldwell gelding won on his debut in the four-year-old maiden point-to-point at Punchestown on Sunday.
On the same day, Sunset Showdown (40) was a debut winner of the four-year-old maiden point-to-point at Knockanard. The Flemensfirth gelding is a half-brother to Definite Ruby.
