The star turn during the breeding stock section of Arqana's Summer Sale catalogue was undoubtedly the Cape Cross mare Wadyhatta, with Robert Nataf's bid of €275,000 enough to secure the mare - who was offered in foal to Authorized - after a protracted duel involving the likes of Henri Bozo and Al Shaqab.

"She's been bought for an American client," explained Nataf. "She'll probably foal in France and then she'll be covered by a Coolmore stallion before being shipped back to Kentucky. The price is a little bit more than we expected but considering the opposition we had to dig a bit deeper."
