China Horse Club, which in just a few years has risen as a global powerhouse at thoroughbred auctions worldwide, continued to flex its buying muscles in the opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga selected yearling sale, ranking as leading buyer with five purchases for a total of $2.3 million.

That outlay was just shy of 11 per cent of the overall session total of $21,215,000 for 73 yearlings sold.
