Sensational Dark Angel has biggest increase of yearlings at Book 1
Dubawi and Invincible Spirit also have more yearlings catalogued for the sale
Leading young sire Dark Angel has one of the biggest increases in representation in the Book 1 catalogue this year compared with 2015, with 24 of yearlings set to go under the hammer, up from 14, a rise of 71 per cent.
This year's yearlings were conceived in the afterglow of a golden 2013 for the Yeomanstown Stud resident, in which Lethal Force won the July Cup and Diamond Jubilee Stakes and Exogenesis, Heeraat and Lily's Angel scored at Group level. That contributed to an increase in his stud fee to €27,500 from €12,500 for 2014.
Dubawi also has noticeably more of his progeny entered in Book 1, with 21 yearlings catalogued, compared to 13 last year.
