Rise of the 'uber-sires': Kingman and Frankel lead the way as Book 1 approaches

While the adage of having too much of a good thing is applicable in most aspects of life inside and outside of racing, it seems that in the sales ring supply has not outstripped demand when it comes to elite stallions.

At the forthcoming Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, the rise of Kingman and Frankel in particular is reflected by the fact that more of them will be offered than from any other sires in recent years.

The Juddmonte pair have had fine seasons on the track, and the preceding years’ interest has ensured them covers of the types of mares who would be considered worthy of entry into Europe’s most prestigious yearling auction.
