With bids flying in all directions in Hokkaido's Northern Horse Park pavilion, the Japan Racing Horse Association (JRHA) Select Sale leaped to new heights during a yearling session on Monday that produced 14 sevenfigure horses, with ten sired by the sensational Deep Impact.

"Tremendous," declared Katsumi Yoshida following the session in which all of the 79 yearlings offered by his Northern Farm were reported sold. He pointed out that the 16 buyers based in countries outside Japan were active during the session, with purchasers from China, Hong Kong, Australia, Korea and the United States joining Fipke.
