Nicky Bertran de Balanda: trained over 300 winners including Grade 1-winning hurdler Gemix
Tattersalls Ireland has announced the appointment of Nicky Bertran de Balanda as its French representative.
De Balanda enjoyed a fruitful career as a dual-purpose trainer based in Maisons-Laffitte, saddling more than 300 winners including dual Grade 1-winning hurdler Gemix.
On the appointment Tattersalls Ireland's managing director Roger Casey said: "Nicky is a very well respected figure within French racing and breeding and has a lifetime of experience in both National Hunt and Flat racing in France.
