For Haras de Colleville, the Normandy farm owned by Guy Pariente, the long journey to Park Paddocks with a sole Book 1 offering proved well worth the effort, as its Kendargent filly out of Restia was knocked down to Lord Grimthorpe for 525,000gns – a record price paid for a yearling by the sire.

It is little surprise the filly brought such a sum, as she is a sister to Restiadargent – an early flagbearer for Haras de Colleville resident Kendargent who landed a Group 2 and finished a close third to Black Caviar in the 2012 Diamond Jubilee.

"It’s a big acknowledgement for Juddmonte to buy a filly like this from us," said Colleville manager Guillaume Vitse.
