I headed to Tattersalls with the words of Interpol (the band, not the International Criminal Police Organization) ringing in my ears. 

It’s not that the sharply dressed New Yorkers have anything particularly profound to say about horses-in-training sales, but because I began July week by watching them perform in the courtyard of the palatial Somerset House on Monday evening.
