By the time Wednesday morning came around we'd viewed all of the day's lots and had compiled our shortlist.

I tend to look at the lots I like at least twice, plus have them vetted. I also always watch the lots I'm interested in in the parade ring.

Sometimes a horse you've liked the three times you've seen him suddenly doesn't look so good walking around with all the others, and if you don't like him in the ring you certainly won't like him when you get him home.
