The first foal of Golden Horn to be offered at public auction features among the catalogue index released on Tuesday for the Japan Racing Horse Association Select Sale this July. The Derby and Arc hero's filly is out of the Jeremy mare Pearl Of Africa, a classy miler trained to win two Listed races in Ireland by Eddie Lynam.

The full catalogue, comprising 247 yearlings and 228 foals, will be posted online on Saturday. With the major Japanese farms having been so active at breeding stock sales around the world in recent years, it is set to bring together elite bloodlines from every point of the compass.

Dams of lots include champions from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina and Chile; several Grade 1 winners in the United States; and, among names familiar in Europe, champion sprinter Fleeting Spirit, Fillies' Mile winner Listen, Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Samitar, and French 1,000 Guineas winner Elusive Wave - all four having colts by Deep Impact going through the ring.

Those lots of established local resonance will meanwhile include a Lord Kanaloa colt foal out of Japanese 1,000 Guineas (Oka Sho) heroine Reginetta; and a Deep Impact filly out of a sister to dual Japanese Horse of the Year Gentildonna.

The many Grade 1 winners to graduate from this sale include Admire Lead, who won the Victoria Mile earlier this month, not to mention Deep Impact himself.

The sale will take place on July 10-11 at Northern Horse Park near New Chitose Airport.
