Yearlings by Coolmore's perennial champion sire Galileo and his freshman sire son Frankel head the list of 200 lots catalogued for the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale which takes place on November 21.

Galileo's two lots on offer include a colt out of the Street Cry mare Better Not Cry who is from the family of Grade 1 heroine Rags To Riches (lot 165), and a colt out of the Grade 1-winning Muhtathir mare Mauralakana (176).

Among the Frankel lots set go through the ring are a half-brother to Group 1 winner and leading Melbourne Cup hope Hartnell (166), and a half-brother to Group 3 heroine Ladies Are Forever and the Group 1-placed Hoof It (146).

Proven Grade/Group 1 American-based sires City Zip, First Defence, Kitten's Joy and Medaglia D'Oro all have lots catalogued as do first-crop sires Camelot, Cityscape, Dawn Approach and Lethal Force.

Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: "The Tattersalls December Yearling Sale is a consistent source of Group 1 winners and this year's catalogue looks a bit special.

"Nine of the current top ten sires in Britain and Ireland have yearlings catalogued and as well as 17 yearlings eligible for £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonuses, owners will find 30 more eligible for either the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes or the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Stakes and nearly 100 eligible for the Plus 10 scheme."
