De Bruyne Horse half-sister to be offered at inaugural Ascot Yearling Sale

De Bruyne Horse made a strong impression when defeating subsequent Group 2 winner Cardsharp in the Class 2 Woodcote Stakes on Derby day at Epsom this year, and confirmed some of that early promise when landing a Listed race at Vichy earlier this month.

Now his closely related half-sister is among the 126 catalogued lots set to come under the hammer at the inaugural Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Yearling Sale on 12 September – the catalogue for which was published online on Friday.

The filly is from the first crop of Coach House, who was second in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. Coach House is also a son of Oasis Dream like Showcasing, the sire of De Bruyne Horse.

Among the other eye-catching pedigrees up for grabs is a Stimulation filly out of a half-sister to Kyllachy, already the dam of three winners from five runners, and a Helmet filly who shares her granddam with last year's champion French three-year-old filly La Cressonniere.

Also included is a Morpheus filly out of a Cadeaux Genereux half-sister to Daliapour, who ruled the roost at Epsom by winning the millennium running of the Coronation Cup and finishing second in Oath's Derby the year before.

All lots will be eligible to run in the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes in 2018.

The sale will take place in the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Sales ring situated adjacent to the Ascot racecourse stables and will commence at 11.30am.

The same sales house has also released the catalogue for its August Sale, which takes place at the same venue on August 22 at 10.30am.

Among the Godolphin draft - the leading consignment by aggregate in 2016 - is an unraced New Approach half-brother to this year's Scottish Champion Hurdle winner Chesterfield.

Last year's renewal saw Roscommon bumper winner Dan McGrue top the sale when the Dansant gelding was sold for £60,000, and he went on to win three point-to-points in Britain last season.
