A total of 13 potential buyers from Europe and the US registered on arqanaonline.com for the auction of a breeding right to the Irish National Stud's 20-year-old flagship stallion Invincible Spirit.
The bidding opened at €120,000 and stopped at €210,000, which ultimately proved short of the vendor's expectations.
Invincible Spirit is standing his 15th breeding season at the County Kildare Stud, where his fee has gradually risen from €10,000 to €120,000 courtesy of supplying the likes of Kingman, Shalaa, Moonlight Cloud and Mayson.
