Breeders' Cup hopeful Skye Diamonds to sell at November Sale
Graded winner has won five of her six starts this year
Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint hopeful Skye Diamonds will be offered at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale two days after she bids for a valuable Grade 1 success to add to her race record.
She is currently a 12-1 shot behind the unbeaten favourite Unique Bella and will be consigned through Taylor Made Sales on behalf of her owners Bloom Racing, Allen Racing, Tom Acker and Jon Lindo on November 6.
A four-year-old daughter of First Dude out of the Johannesburg mare Exonerated, Skye Diamonds has won five of her six starts this year for trainer Bill Spawr. That number includes victories in the Grade 2 Great Lady M Stakes and the Grade 3 Rancho Bernando Handicap.
Bred by Dizney Double Diamond, Skye Diamonds is from the family of dual Australian Group 1 winner He's No Pie Eater.
Jeff Bloom said: "We have had a tremendous run with Skye Diamonds since acquiring her in August of last year. Mark Taylor and the entire team at Taylor Made exemplify professionalism and excellence and we couldn't think of a better fit for our filly catalogued in the Fasig-Tipton November Sale."
Mark Taylor, vice-president of sales and marketing at Taylor Made, added: "We are thrilled that Jeff and his partners have entrusted Skye Diamonds's potential sale to Taylor Made. She is a top-class, brilliantly fast racehorse, and hails from one of the great female families in the stud book.
"All reports indicate that she is training extremely well, and that it's all systems go for the Breeders' Cup."
