Winning pointers head to Ascot for Tattersalls November showcase
Broodmares, yearlings and horses-in-training also on offer
Several recent winning Irish pointers have bulked up the catalogue for Thursday's Tattersalls Ascot November Sale to 164, with prospects for Flat or National Hunt owners and breeders alike.
Among the 22 wildcards are Hard Ground (lot 136), from Denis Murphy’s Ballyboy Stables, a five-year-old son of Malinas who won a maiden point at Portrush in the middle of last month.
Arans Choice, a Scorpion mare from the family of Gold Cup hero See More Business, from Jenny Walsh and Crossgales Stables, is also one with a recent win to her name having struck on her second start at Loughanmore.
Irish pointing powerhouse Colin Bowe has also added three horses with recent form.

Paul and Clare Rooney are selling two unraced two-year-olds, Tamayuz colt No Such Luck (97), and a son of Society Rock named I Need A Drink (98), while Clover Leaf Stud has added a pair of yearlings headed by a Charming Thought filly (161) out of a daughter of champion juvenile Blue Duster as well as a colt by Fast Company (162).
Among the most interesting of the rest of the yearlings is the draft by Chasemore Farm. It includes a Pivotal filly out of three-time winner Lady Hestia (lot 190) as well as fillies by Acclamation and the red-hot Kendargent.
Breeders will have added incentive to find themselves a bargain as this sale last year was the scene of one of the great recent masterstrokes when Carlton Stud’s Adam Wragg bought an unraced Mastercraftsman filly for £2,500 only to learn in June that she had become a half-sister to the Oaks winner Anapurna.
Broodmare Rebecca Romero (80), not quite as accomplished as her namesake but familiar from five career wins, goes through the ring in foal to Cityscape, as does the winning Pivotal mare Celebrity (77).
Highclere consign two broodmares in foal to its stallion Cable Bay, including the dam of Italian Group 3 scorer Chilworth Icon (82), while one of the Godolphin draft, Navajo Chant (84), is carrying to Hawkbill.
Godolphin is also selling a few of its off-the-track representatives, including James Tate’s Listed-placed and 102-raced Kyllang Rock (90).
