Although there has already been plenty of lively trade at this year's European two-year-old sales, an air of unfinished business continues to hang over the market. Whether or not the best is still to come will be borne out on Friday, when the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale takes over the Goffs UK complex in Doncaster.

Ongoing issues brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic have forced the auction to uproot from its usual home in Deauville for the second year running, but the switch to South Yorkshire did not stop Arqana's sale posting some market-leading statistics during a turbulent 2020.

Last year's Arqana Breeze-Up Sale supplied the highest aggregate, average and median figures among the European two-year-old auctions, with those indices returning respective totals of £9,004,700, £140,700 and £76,000 as 64 lots changed hands.
